When a traffic crash happens, it is usually surrounded by stress and confusion. The victims, witnesses, first responders and on-lookers often get mixed up in the aftermath of the personal injury or fatal crash. Successful litigation of a personal injury crash case depends on competent gathering, processing and interpretation of the evidence at the scene, at the hospital and from the vehicles involved. Mr. Anderson can provide that service for attorneys with your crash injury cases.

He has been a certified crash reconstruction expert since 1985. Retired from the Maryland State Police in 2011 where he supervised the Crash Reconstruction Program for the Eastern Region for several years, Mr. Anderson was personally involved in several thousand crash investigations, from the simple “fender bender” to complex crashes involving multiple fatalities. His crash reconstruction experience includes almost every type of vehicle from motorcycles and ATVs to school buses and tractor trailer combinations.

His experience within MSP also included the supervision of several facilities within the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division. Having certification as a Commercial Vehicle Reconstructionist and a Level I & III Inspector provides him with the ability to conduct complete investigations in “big truck” crashes to include both the scene and the paperwork associated with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. These complex vehicles need an experienced investigator like Mr. Anderson.

Having all the training in the world is of little value to your case, if it can’t be presented to a jury in a manner that they can understand easily. Often this means the expert witness must “teach” the arbitrator or jury members these sometimes complex physics and mathematical equations. As a certified Instructor with the Maryland Police Training Commission, Mr.Anderson has taught Advanced Crash Investigation and Crash Reconstruction to personnel from over 60 different local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies since 1993. He is also an adjunct professor at Wor-Wic College in Salisbury, Maryland. As an expert witness, Mr. Anderson has that ability to take even the most complex events and break them down to simple, easy to follow steps.

As a certified DOT Instructor, Mr. Anderson can serve as a consultant to transportation companies and other companies that maintain trucks and advise them how to they can avoid costly fines and Out of Service downtime.
